Hello and welcome, my name is Suzette. I started this site because I wanted to make it super easy to connect existing and potential Greyhounds as Pets owners to information and contacts.
I am new to owning Greyhounds as pets, but I have loved every minute of it so far.
Please let me be clear that I am not a vet, a dog breeder, an animal trainer nor did I have any experience in dealing with Greyhounds prior to researching and adopting Minnie and Mouse – my 2 absolutely beautiful Greyhound girls who are sisters.
I am very grateful I have my 2 beautiful greyhound girls in my life. They are perfect for me – they have rescued me as much as I have rescued them.
I want to share with you as much information and my experiences as I can so you can be prepared for adopting and owning a Greyhound as a pet; if you are considering Greyhound adoption.
What bedding do you need?
Do they need jackets to wear in winter?
What is the best food to feed them?
How often do I need to walk them?

My sincere intentions are to share my experiences and information I find to help get as many Greyhounds as pets as possible into their forever homes.
You may have seen the news reports and realised that there is an urgent need for Greyhounds to be adopted to loving people and families.
If you are after a dog you can leave out the back and have sleep in a wooden kennel and feed once a day, or put in the back of a UTE like a cattle dog, in my opinion, you might like to consider another breed.
If you are looking for a dog who will become a willing participant in your life, just like a family member – who will love you for everything you are. Then a Greyhound may be the right choice for you.
Greyhounds, in my experience are gentle, affectionate and totally dependent on the owner to treat them with respect and kindness.
